Knight Rider is a TV series remake of the 1982 hit show with the same title. The show revolves around the life of Mike Traucer, the son of Michael Knight.

Justin Bruening plays the role of Mike Traucer, the son of the original Michael Knight. Mike later on changes his name to Michael Knight, following his father’s name when he became the driver of the next generation KITT or the Knight Industries Three Thousand. Now known as the Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang, Mike becomes the newest champion of the Knight Industries. Mike works with his former fiancée named Sarah Graiman, played by Deanna Russo. Sarah is the daughter of Charles Graiman who is a famous scientist who is behind the design of KITT.
Dr. Charles Graiman, played by Bruce Davison, had died in an explosion and this led to close the KITT project. However, Agent Torres wants to relive KARR in exchange of the deactivation of KITT. Torres believes that the program for KITT can be overwritten for the use of KARR to self-preserve protocols and later on save human lives. Dr. Graiman knew what Torres had been planning and in and holographic message, he tells Sarah and Mike about this. Dr. Graiman narrates how they have experimented on the first driver of KITT and how the memory has been erased and integrated with KITT. Later on, Mike becomes the new driver of KITT.
KITT is an artificially intelligent automobile. The voice of Val Kilmer is used as the voice of KITT.
Also starring is Paul Campbell as Billy Morgan, Smith Cho as Zoe Chae, Sydney Tamiia Poitier as FBI Agent Carrie Rivai and Yancey Arias as NSA Agent Alex Torres.
