After the dead body of a technician is discovered, the team is on the hunt for the murderer who managed to bypass the security and infiltrate the Knight Headquarters and activated a self-destruct program hidden inside KITT.

Meanwhile, Mike and Sarah, who are stranded in a cargo plane, have 30 minutes to relay KITT’s software to the back-up system and prevent it from self-destructing, while the others, thinking that it was no coincidence that the perpetrator knew their security program and KITT’s auto destruct sequence, conclude that it must be an inside job, and rush to find a killer.
